This agreement is made between DZ Com Technologies ("we", "us") and the organisation that registers a SnapShiShan workspace ("Customer", "you"). By registering a workspace, signing in, or installing the SnapShiShan Inventory Agent, you accept these terms on behalf of your organisation. If you do not have authority to bind your organisation, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SnapShiShan is a hosted inventory and asset tracking service. It includes the web application, the phone scanning pages, the optional Android app, and the Windows Inventory Agent (together, the Service). Each organisation receives its own workspace, a separate database and its own web address.
2. Accounts and access
- The person who registers the workspace becomes its first administrator and is responsible for the users they add and the permissions they grant.
- Keep passwords and your workspace's Agent key confidential. Anyone holding the Agent key can submit device data into your workspace. Regenerate the key on the Agent page as soon as you suspect it has been exposed.
- Each user may hold one active session at a time. Sessions expire at local midnight.
- Give us accurate registration details and keep the administrator email address working. We use it for verification and service notices.
3. Software licence
Subject to these terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence, for the duration of your subscription, to:
- use the web application for your organisation's internal inventory management;
- install the Inventory Agent on computers your organisation owns or controls, once we have approved your request and enabled it for your workspace, using the agent package your administrators download from the Agent page; and
- install the Android app on devices used by your authorised users.
You may not, and may not allow others to: copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the software except where the law expressly permits it; resell, sublicense or offer the Service to third parties as a bureau service; pass the agent package to anyone outside your organisation; remove proprietary notices; alter, redirect or interfere with the Inventory Agent or its settings; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission; or use the Service to store unlawful content.
The Inventory Agent installs a Windows service named InventoryAgent and a scheduled task named InventoryAgentWatchdog, and updates itself automatically. It connects only to your organisation's workspace on our servers, and its server address, reporting schedule and taskbar icon are fixed in the software; the configuration file holds only your workspace's Agent key. The package also contains report-now.exe, which sends a computer's details once when it is run, and collect-csv.exe, which writes them to a file on that computer without connecting to the Service. Install it only on computers your organisation is entitled to monitor, and inform the people who use them (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Plans, fees and limits
The Free plan is limited in the number of items and users. Paid plans are billed in Malaysian Ringgit at the prices shown on our website when you subscribe. Fees are payable in advance and, unless the law requires otherwise, are not refundable for partial periods. If a workspace exceeds its plan's limits, some features or sign-ins may be restricted until the plan is upgraded or usage is reduced. Inventory Agent requests are limited per minute according to your plan; requests over the limit are refused until the next minute and the agent tries again later. We give at least 30 days' notice of any price change for an existing subscription.
5. Your data
You own the data you put into your workspace (Customer Data). You grant us a licence to host, process, back up and display it only as needed to provide and support the Service. We handle personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Customer Data, and for having a lawful basis to collect any personal data you record, including names in movements and checklists and device data collected by the Inventory Agent.
You can export your data at any time using the in-app reports, or ask us for a full export. After a workspace is closed we keep its data for 30 days so it can be restored on request, then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, upload malware, overload the Service with automated traffic beyond normal use, or try to access another organisation's workspace. We may suspend access that puts the Service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. Support is available at info@dct.my and +60 17-818 1216 during Malaysian business hours, in Bahasa Melayu and English.
8. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, the software and all related trademarks, including the SnapShiShan name and logo. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
9. Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Disclaimer explains specific limits on the accuracy of collected data.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Term and termination
These terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may close your workspace at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend a workspace for a material breach that is not fixed within 14 days of notice, or immediately where required by law or to protect the Service. On termination your licence ends and you must uninstall the Inventory Agent from your computers (run agent.exe again and choose Uninstall, or agent.exe --uninstall as administrator).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we email the workspace administrator at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, which the parties will first try in good faith to resolve by negotiation.
